“If someone had told me as a kid that I was going to be a wedding videographer, I wouldn't have believed anyone. And yet...”

 

 

Wedding videos and the emotion of the moment that can emanate from them have always intrigued me.

With a degree in Communications, I discovered video editing when I started my Masters in Journalism.

On the strength of a rather crazy idea, I decided to buy my own camera and teach myself, first by getting lost in the backstreets of Rome, then in Belgium.

At the time, I had no idea of the story that was about to unfold in my life.

Little by little, I discovered the infinite capacity of cameras to convey the emotions of a scene, both positive and negative. Tears, cries, speeches, glances, smiles, laughter - everything could be recorded.

 

As fate would have it, a year later a friend, Oscar, asked me to produce a video with him for a real estate agency. Following its success, Focustudio was created.
That was it, we had officially launched the story of two independent friends embarking on an uncertain professional gamble based on our simple ambition.

Our first goals were to make a name for ourselves and invest in new equipment. Not easy when you're only involved part-time, but doable. We didn't win anything the 1st year; everything was kept to be reinvested. It was complicated, but we kept the desire to move forward. We were then able to take care of our first photo and video weddings, gain experience in different companies and meet some incredible people.

In October 2023, as had been planned between us for some time, Oscar decided to retire to concentrate on another project. And so began my solo adventure.

I quit my job at the time and decided to devote 100% of my time to Focustudio.

It was a tough decision, but I felt the time was right.

I chose to specialize in weddings because they evoke a unique feeling.
The encounters, the emotions, the feeling of benevolence, those moments of intense joy but also tears of happiness remind me every time that I made the best decision.

Today, I feel grateful.
The many positive feedbacks I've read following the weddings I've done only motivate me to keep going, to keep learning, to keep improving. I strive to provide couples with a complete experience, based on compassion, kindness, professionalism and the desire to pass on the emotions they have experienced.
